Klima Slam 2021
October 07 to November 19, 2021
A climate slam is a stage competition for individuals and groups who present content on the topic of climate change to a broad audience, based on the globally successful poetry slams and science slams. The causes and consequences of climate change are diverse; the slam form and professional backgrounds of the protagonists reflect this diversity. The Urania Climate Slam is a crossover of poetry, music, science, skill slam and others. The topic of climate change is the unifying element.
The semi-final rounds will take place on Oct 7 and Nov 4, 2021, the final on Nov 19, 2021. The contributions will last five minutes each in the preliminary rounds and ten minutes each in the final.
In each of the preliminary rounds, six to seven slam entries will compete against each other. From these, the audience will select three winners by applause, who will move on to the final and compete against each other to convince the citizens of Berlin of their contributions with more detail. Voting in the final will also take place without a jury of experts. The audience will decide which entry has raised the most important questions or provided actionable answers.
Semi-final rounds: 7.10. and 4.11.2021
